June Stamping Adventures

Since we skipped our June Playdate, I thought I'd share my stamping projects for the month of June.  At the end of the schoolyear I'm always in a quandry on how to appropriately thank my volunteers for their service and devotion to the classroom throughout the past 9 months.  This year I decided I would make bundles of cards (8-10 assorted with both blank and thank you) to give each volunteer along with a card created by their own child and signed by the rest of the students who benefitted from their participation as a volunteer.

Since I am known as a hoarder by some of my closer friends and family members (it's totally untrue!!  Wellllll, partially untrue!) I just so happened to have a LARGE quantity of cards on hand to help with this task.  Though not as many as the 150 or so I would need by the time all was said and done...

Here I began to sort the cards by volunteer....
(Why yes, Ashley, that IS your springform pan -- it was on the counter and worked so well for the task at hand.  Not to worry I washed it yet again after this purpose!)

I created a nametag with each volunteers name.

The bundles were in disarray as I made sure each volunteer was accounted for.  It was late at night at this point and I had made several lists and had to check each one twice!

Here they are in their nearly completed state, had I planned this better all of the cards on top would have been portrait vs. landscape.
(At least I know better for next year if I do this again!)

This is an example of the final product, worthy of a fine volunteer!
(or so I hope! It's hard to know if people appreciate the effort that goes into handmade cards.)

Since I was on a role (and avoiding report cards a little) I decided to also make a bundle of 10 cards each for each of my grade level teammates and my other supportive coworkers/hallway neighbors whom I will dearly miss as I move buildings yet once again.

I love this label stamp/punch combo -- thanks, Steph, for letting me stamp a bunch when you brought it here!  I knew it'd come in handy for something.  :)

I can't wait to see everyone's creative creations for the month of July!!!
