May's Green or Masculine Challenge

May's playdate was yet another fun event!  We had a lot of fun green ideas but found the "masculine" component quite the challenge.  Perhaps rubber stamps in general don't lend themself to the masculine genre.  We had terrific projects nonetheless and here are the photos as proof along with a few make-ups from previous months.  It just dawned on me that our beverages also met the "green challenge" -- completely by chance!

Note: for some reason random photos upload wrong and I can't fix their orientation, trust me when I say I have tried!!!

Gretchen even talked Josh and Erik into stamping her oh-so cute card (naturally they were swayed by her fabulous design and her subtle campaign for the use of purple and gold!)

The birthday or yellow challenge was a blast.  We had a last minute change of venue due to some unforeseen home repairs for the original host :( but we didn't let that dampen our spirit and spent the night creating these Happy Birthday and yellow little missives of joy.  Carrie's card was by far the most complicated, but also one of my personal favorites.  The night seemed to involve a lot of coloring, but given how adorable everything turned out, I would say that it was well worth it!!!  I can't wait to see what people come up with for the Mother's Day or green challenge.

February Playdate

Here are the photos....finally! Our group made some wonderful offerings for our Thank You or Blue Challenge theme. It's funny how our cards so resemble our personalities.

(Please bear with the tilted photos. The are getting twisted when I upload them to Blogger and I can't seem to figure out why or how to fix it. It's VERY frustrating. Sorry!)

Our newest member used pencil erasers to stamp AND even created matching envelope inserts for our postcard style cards!

Janet

This was our first foray into using brayers and I can safely say we were all impressed with this technique!

Leanna

What a great card for any occasion. Who wouldn't love a cute owl?

Carrie

The subtle details in this little card really pack a punch.

I think this was her holiday make up!

Love the citrus stack, it's just so cheerful - much like Gretchen herself!
